Trinity College Dublin Information
This university is usually referred to as Trinity College Dublin (Coláiste na Tríonóide) as its full name is rather long winded, being: ‘Provost, Fellows and Scholars of the College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin’.
Trinity College Dublin can trace its roots back to the early 16th century when it was created by HRH Queen Elizabeth. Today it is headed by the provost John Hegarty. Trinity College is hold high in university standings and is ranked as the 13th best university in Europe by the Times, and as the best university in Ireland in the Jiao Tong University rankings.
The Trinity College Dublin Ranking is 65th in Europe, other good establishments in Ireland include University College Dublin and University College Cork. Similar rated universities include the Lomonosov Moscow State University and University de Lausanne.
